Our screens are increasingly being filled with stories about climate change. With average global temperatures increasing, sea levels rising and ice sheets melting, our climate is being damaged by growing greenhouse gas emissions. Climate change is a global problem but even small, individual actions can make a massive difference to slowing, stopping and even reversing the damage humans are inflicting on our planet.

Here at Carrick Signs we are doing our bit for the environment by supporting our friends at Create and Strike. On Friday 20th September 2019 millions of people from over 150 countries will take to the streets to demand climate justice for everyone. We have provided Create and Strike with blank all weather board placards for their workshops (find out more here) to allow supporters to make their own climate protest placards.

All weather board (AWB) is a great alternative to correx for making placards, as well as signs and person cutouts. All weather board is suitable for short-term use outside, so your AWB placard will still look good at the end of a rainy protest. You aren't restricted to square or rectangular shapes, as we can machine cut AWB into any shape you desire. All weather board is 100% recyclable in domestic paper bins, so your signs can have a new life when you are finished with them.

So how can you help our environment? Next time you place an order with Carrick Signs enquire about printing your boards or placards on our eco-friendly all weather board, made from 66% recycled materials. We can usually use all weather board in place of 4mm correx at no additional cost, so it won't cost the earth to save the earth. If you already have some of our correx signs, you can recycle these too at specialist recycling centres (search: polypropylene recycling near me).

If you have any questions about using all weather board for your next print, don't hesitate to give us a call or send us an email.
